Oh What A Night!

What a night we had at our meeting last night! We had 22 members and guests attend to help celebrate our amazing Bronze Medal in the District 17 Go For Gold Challenge. Included in our guests were “Jeff’s Angels”, AKA The District 17 Trio, Jeff Zhang, our District Director, Tom Bielski, our Program Quality Director and Maree Pickens, our Club Growth Director. who came to present us with our awards.

The awards included a personal recognition certificate to each member who contributed to the challenge. The challenge consisted of 3 tasks. To have our Club Officers trained at District sponsored Club Officer Training, members submitting Levels in their path to help the club achieve our goals and joining new members into our club. These were named Leading, Learning & Loving.

Every one of our 7 Club Officers attended training so we achieved 60 points in the Leading category.

11 members lodged level awards during the contest for us to achieve a massive 300 points in the Learning category.

We joined 3 new members into our club whilst the challenge was running, helping us to achieve 60 points in the Loving category.

This gave us a brilliant total of 420 points and the Bronze Medal.

Our rewards also included a hamper of delicious French Pastries and a commemorative Toastmasters 100 year badge for all who participated. This is what The Trio came to present to us. We all enjoyed wonderful companionship, camaraderie and delicacies after the meeting.

Congratulations to every member who contributed to our success and thank you to “Jeff’s Angels” for the amazing rewards. Congratulations must also go to our sister clubs Mandjar Toastmasters and Canning Vale Toastmasters Clubs for wining the Gold and Silver Medals respectively. We hope you enjoyed your delicacies as much as we did.

Now on to the next challenge the District is holding, The District 17 Amazing Toastmasters Pentathlon which will be launched on Sunday September 15. Watch out for how you can contribute to us winning again.
